My Little Pony Birthday Party Theme

So you’re daughter is turning five this week, and you’re throwing the birthday party at your house. What kind of theme are you doing? What?? You don’t have a THEME? What kind of father are you, anyway? I’m joking, of course, but in my experience with my own daughter, she and her friends will get a kick out of a My Little Pony Birthday Party Theme.

Before you start thinking it’s going to be a huge hassle, just stop: it’s easy as pie. The nice thing is, a good percentage of little girls already HAVE My Little Ponies, so half of the work is already done.

What you’ll want to do is just send out invitations telling all the parents and kids that they should bring them along to the party. Of course, some kids won’t have any, but that’s where you come in. You’ll want to look around town for a bunch of extra ones so nobody gets left out. And they’re cheap if you look in the right places. Goodwill and the Salvation Army store are excellent for finding My Little Ponies for really good prices.

Scatter them all around the house so it feels like you’re surrounded by ponies. As soon as the kids start arriving, they’ll look around and love the scene.

There are plenty of games you can play with them, too: the ponies can all get ready for the ball (yes, they go to balls), they can dance around while listening to music, and they can play house. Believe me, I’ve played my share of dolls with my little one; I know how this works.

It would be great if you could afford to find enough ponies so when everyone goes home, they can take one with them. If not, it’s obviously not a big deal. But I think the kids will enjoy having a party like this. It’s different, and they’ll remember it.
